Mystery thrillers have long captivated audiences with their ability to blur the lines between reality and illusion, keeping viewers guessing until the very end. Continuing Marathi cinema’s rich legacy of suspense-driven storytelling, Drushya-Adrushya is emerging as one of the most anticipated mystery thrillers of the year. After earning appreciation at the prestigious 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), the film is now gearing up for its theatrical release across Maharashtra on June 19. The makers of acclaimed films such as Subhedar, Sher Shivraj, and Sapala recently unveiled the gripping trailer, further intensifying excitement around the project.

Produced under the RST Canvas banner by Pradyot Pendharkar, Anil Varkhade, Dattaji Thorat, Dhananjay Thorat, Prithviraj Khedkar, Yuvaraj Khedkar, and Ashwini Khedkar, Drushya-Adrushya is directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Milind Lele, known for critically acclaimed films including Kurukshetra, Bandishala, and AB Aani CD. Lele has also penned the story and screenplay, while the dialogues are written by Asmita Kulkarni.
The trailer introduces audiences to Rohit, a man unexpectedly promised an incentive of ₹25 lakh under mysterious circumstances. Even his wife, Tanvi, remains unaware of the reason behind the reward. Soon, their young daughter Isha vanishes without a trace, triggering a complex police investigation. As officers begin piecing together the puzzle, startling contradictions emerge. Hotel staff insist that Tanvi checked in alone, CCTV footage is mysteriously unavailable, witness accounts conflict, and the search for Isha raises more questions than answers.

The mystery deepens dramatically when Rohit’s lifeless body is discovered, turning the investigation into a chilling psychological labyrinth. Did the incidents described by Tanvi actually occur? Who is concealing the truth? Was Isha truly kidnapped, or did she never exist at all? And who is responsible for Rohit’s murder? These unsettling questions drive a narrative that explores the fragile boundary between perception and reality. The film’s haunting tagline—“Is what we see always the truth? The unseen reality behind the visible…”—perfectly encapsulates its intriguing premise.
Leading the cast is popular actress Pooja Sawant in what promises to be one of the most challenging roles of her career. Joining her are Ashok Samarth, Suvrat Joshi, Hardik Joshi, Akshaya Gurav, Vidyadhar Joshi, and Keya Ingle in pivotal roles. With atmospheric cinematography by Amol Salunke, sharp editing by Sachin Wagh, evocative music by Ashish Mujumdar and Devdatta Baji, and soulful vocals by Priyanka Barve and Nidhi Hegde, Drushya-Adrushya promises a suspense-filled cinematic experience that will keep audiences hooked until the final revelation.
