Actress Spreha Chatterjee is winning hearts with her portrayal of Maahi in Anupamaa, and for her, every day on set is an opportunity to learn, grow, and connect more deeply with her character. The young actress says the most exciting part of her journey is watching a scene come alive from script to screen.
“What I look forward to most every day is the process itself. As an actor, the set is where everything finally comes alive—the writing, rehearsals, and characters. I enjoy finding those small, honest moments in a scene as Maahi,” she shared.
Spreha Chatterjee believes the positive atmosphere on the set plays a major role in keeping everyone motivated despite the demanding schedules of television. She credits the collaborative environment for helping her learn something new every day, whether emotionally through a scene or technically through the filming process.
Off-camera, the actress enjoys a warm bond with her co-stars and crew members. From making reels and dancing to sharing snacks and laughter, she says the team’s camaraderie makes even hectic days enjoyable.
Reflecting on her growth since joining the show, Spreha revealed that playing Maahi has helped her become a more emotionally aware performer. “The character has taught me to express emotions more naturally and connect deeply with the journey instead of simply delivering lines,” she said, adding that her experienced co-stars constantly inspire her to improve.
One of the most challenging moments for her recently was Maahi’s emotional divorce sequence with Gautam. Recalling the scenes with Rupali Ganguly, Spreha said the emotions felt incredibly real. “The way Anupamaa stood by Maahi despite everything was deeply touching. I connected strongly with Maahi’s vulnerability and heartbreak,” she shared.
The actress also credits her family as her biggest support system, saying they watch every episode and regularly share feedback. While awards are special, Spreha believes audience appreciation matters most. “It’s the audience’s connection with your character that makes your work truly meaningful,” she said, adding that her focus remains on working hard and staying true to her role.
