After making strong acting mark in Kannada, Tulu, Tamil and Hindi films, Pruthvi Ambaar is all set to make his Marathi film debut with the film SARI directed by Ashoka K. S. The film with love triangle stars Pruthvi Ambaar in the lead role, along with Ajinkya Raut, Ritika Shrotri and Mrinal Kulkarni in pivotal roles. The audience has already seen a glimpse of Pruthvi in the song.
Although Pruthvi Ambaar is non-Marathi, he is very close to Marathi. This is revealed by the Pruthvi Ambaar himself. About his Marathi debut, Pruthvi Ambaar says, “Though I was born in Udupi, Karnataka, it was a tradition for me to visit Mumbai every summer vacation and that’s how I got to know the Marathi language and culture. I have many close relatives and friends who are Marathi speaking. I am a fan of classic films like Natrang, Natsamrat and Sairat. I watch these movies again and again for the best acting, actors and music. I never imagined that I will act in a Marathi film one day. I am very happy to have the opportunity to work in a Marathi film with such talented actors like Ajinkya Raut, Ritika Shrotri and my forever favorite Mrinal Kulkarni ma’am. I thank my mentor and director Ashoka K. S who gave me support and strength and also thanks to the producers who gave me this opportunity.”

Ajaneesh Lokanth and Arijit Chakraborty. The cinematography is by Padmanabhan V S, dialogues by Vishal Patil who is also co-director, Art by M Varadaraj Kamath. With tagline “Life is full of surprises and miracles” Pruthvi Ambaar debut film ‘Sari’ will hit the screens on 5 May 2023.
