Film director Vaibhav Verma is all set to work again with actor Vikrant Rai in the upcoming Hindi romantic comedy film titled “Cousin Isha” to be produced under the banner of “Shresth Productions”.
Vaibhav Verma who in the past have been associated with big Bollywood projects such as Aamir Khan starrer “Secret Superstar”, Ayushmann Khurrana starrer “Bala”, Rishi Kapoor starrer “Rajma Chawal” and John Abraham starrer upcoming film “Diplomat” in art department has recently completed the shooting of Hindi cop thriller film titled “Tatkshan” which stars Vikrant Rai in the lead role.
“Tatkshan” that marks the debut of Vaibhav Verma as director in the Hindi film industry has recently received UA certificate from censor and is all set to release in theatres followed by an OTT release.
“Cousin Isha” will be the second venture of the actor director duo together after the thriller movie Tatkshan, preparations of which have started in full swing right from the casting to location hunting and the finalization of the entire crew, as they plan to go on floor in November 2024.
When asked why Vaibhav Verma has again chosen to work with actor Vikrant Rai, he said, “As an actor Vikrant Rai is very versatile and as a director, I am comfortable in experimenting with him. He is a very reliable actor who understands exactly what director wants from him. Last time in the film ‘Tatkshan’ I directed him in the role of a very serious and broody type cop but this time I will change his entire appearance and present him to the public as a lover boy in the film ‘Cousin Isha”.
Vikrant Rai who earlier has been part of many hit TV shows like Kavyanjali on Star Plus, Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan and Maayka on Zee TV, Do Sau Karod Ki Botal on Doordarshan in a leading and prominent roles and has also appeared in starring roles in Hindi films such as UVAA, BHOURI and LUCCHEY LAFFANGEY is associated with Hindi film industry for over a decade. He was also the male lead of an international TV series and India’s first edutainment titled “Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon” directed by renowned screenwriter/Playwright/producer and national awarded director Feroz Abbas Khan, which was aired on Doordarshan and later on Disney Hotstar. The show was endorsed by several celebrities involved with advocating social causes.
