Upcoming Web Series “Suranga” stars actors Isha Koppikar and Freddy Daruwala in lead roles as they investigate a Bank Heist. Suranga’s release date was announced and trailer also released by the OTT streaming platform Atrangii.
Isha Koppikar as an Assistant bank manager Dakshyani and Freddy Daruwala as a police officer who units out to unfold the secrets and techniques behind the heist after the theft. The cast also includes Rakesh Bedi, Sachin Verma, Rahul Jaitley, Sanjeev Tyagi, Megha Sharma, Ashok Kalra and Piyush Ranade amongst others. Suranga is directed by B M Giriraj and is co-produced by Sarrva Productions Studio and Shashi Sumeet Productions.
The investigative thriller Suranga is an adaptation from real life incident of a daring heist where thieves dug up a 125-feet-long tunnel to a bank in Sonepat district and broke into 77 lockers decamping with cash, jewellery and other valuables.
Set in Rohtak, the storyline of the show depicts a whole journey of how the heist was plotted and executed. Post the robbery, the inspector of the city is responsible to investigate the case but to his dismay and sudden turn of events, he gets clueless about whom to hold responsible for the event. The production value of the show is par excellence.
Isha Koppikar said she thoroughly loved it shooting for the series. Freddy said he has somehow mastered the act of getting into Haryanvi accent easily.
Producers Bharat Nautiyal, Sumeet Mittal, Jitender Singla and Kaushik Izardar have thanked profusely the platform to believe in them and giving them the best show to execute.

In 2000, Koppikar started her Bollywood career with a small role alongside Karisma Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan in Khalid Mohamed‘s Fiza and an item number appearance in Prakash Jha‘s Rahul. In 2001 she made her full-fledged Bollywood debut with Rajiv Rai‘s Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, starring Arjun Rampal and Sunil Shetty.
