Indian television’s superstars Rashami Desai, Ssharad Malhotra, Shefali Jariwala, Meera Deosthale, Abigail Pande and Mohit Abrol will feature in the second season of Hungama Play blockbuster original show Ratri Ke Yatri. In an incredible ensemble of actors – the star cast will also include 12 popular actors from the Indian television and film industries. The names of the remaining cast members will be announced soon. Like the first season, Hungama Play show Ke Yatri 2 is an anthology of five unique, dramatic and thought-provoking stories set in red light areas
Reigning star of Hindi television industry, and known for her path-breaking performances in TV shows such as Uttaran, Dil Se Dil Tak, Pari Hoon Main, various reality shows and the latest web series Tandoor, Rashami Desai, the versatile actress said, “The second season of Ratri Ke Yatri narrates five unique tales that pivot around red light areas. It aims to give the viewers a distinct perspective and throws an empathetic light on the characters in red light areas. The role I am playing is definitely something that I haven’t done before, and I can’t wait to find out the viewers’ response.”
Ssharad Malhotra, who is renowned for his incredible acting in shows like Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap, Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki, Muskaan and Naagin 5, added, “The second season of Ratri Ke Yatri is an exceptional concept that seeks to entertain with its sensitive and thought-provoking stories. The show presents viewers with a reality of life, one that we often ignore. I portray the role of a young man, Monoj, who is a lovable small town boy, soon to be married to his partner, but faces an unforeseen situation.”
Abigail Pande, who has made her mark with TV shows like Zindagi Wins, Kya Dill Mein Hai, Saubhagyalakshmi, Laal Ishq, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, among others, said, “I am really excited to be a part of Ratri Ke Yatri. My character, Payal, is a housewife who finds herself facing issues that she never expected. She soon stumbles upon a very unusual solution to her problem that changes her life forever.”
Popularly known as the Kaanta Laga girl, who has also appeared in several reality shows like Nach Baliye and Big Boss 13, Shefali Jariwala shared, “I am thrilled to be a part of this anthology. I am playing the role of Deepika, who will be the point of change in the narrative of the story. When I first read the script, I was captivated by the distinct approach of the show and said yes to the character right away. Also, Anil V Kumar our producer and director is an institution by himself. I have always wanted to work with him. This was the perfect opportunity for me after a 2 year break and I am really looking forward to be a part of this unique story.”
A known name on television, someone who has charmed his audience with shows like Balika Vadhu, Razia Sultan, Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do, Tum Saath Ho Jab Apne, MTV Fanaah and Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, Mohit Abrol added, “This is not like any other show. Ratri Ke Yatri deals with real emotions and shows characters of all shades. I am playing the role of Vivek, who finds himself in an unhappy marriage. What happens next is definitely nothing that one would expect.”
Meera Deosthale, who is known for her TV shows Vidya, Udaan, Zindagi Wins and more said, “I am playing the character of Sweety, who is soon to be married to her lover. The couple is accepted by both the families, and all seems to go well until an unexpected situation occurs. I am sure this season will entertain viewers as much as the first one.”
