After the massive hit of her first single, singer and actor Garima Yagnik, niece of legendary singer Alka Yagnik, is back with her second single “Naina Barse Kyun”. It is a Hindi dance-pop track, composed by Naresh-Anand, and directed by Karan-Aryaman Marwaha.
‘Naina Barse Kyun’ is a depiction of a girl in the initial stages of heartbreak where it is ironic yet comedic about the situation. She is surrounded by the voices in her head as well as those of her friends, wondering whether the heartbreak is to be celebrated or lamented over. In her imagination, the end of her relationship is a blessing, however, there may be a part of her that wants to go back to the way she was.
Talking about the launch of the song, an excited Garima said, “This is my second release and is excited more than ever. It is challenging and there are a lot of expectations when you have such a stalwart in your family. But I have a different style of singing and voice. This track is very close to my heart and I am sure the audience will fall in love with it too. This has been a fabulous journey till now and teaming up with Karan again is a great experience.”
Right after the big launch, the singing diva is heading to Delhi as she currently working on WizCraft’s “Balle Balle” musical comedy, directed by Viraf Sarkari at Kingdom of Dreams, Delhi. Her other theatre endeavors include “Medha and Zoombish” directed by Hidayat Sami at Prithvi Theatre. She has been singing and acting since childhood and her previous work with Times Music includes “Meherbani”. She has previously worked with Karan-Aryaman Marwaha on the short film “Punjab”, which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
‘Naina Barse Kyun’ is released on 31st August 2018, so stay tuned!
