Atul Srivastava is seemed to having a very exciting September with two movies releases back to back in the same month. He was last seen in ‘Stree’ playing Raj Kumar Rao’s ‘Deddy’ and now will be seen playing Divyendu Sharma’s father in ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’.
‘Stree’ has recently joined the 100crore club and there is high possibility that Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ will also join the club.
Atul and Divyendu were last seen sharing screen space in Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer movie ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’.
When asked about his experience of working with Divyendu, Atul Srivastava said, “It was a good experience working with Divyendu once again. He is a good actor and we used to discuss scenes.”
Though we would be seeing him playing a father on screen for the second time both the characters are completely different from each other. In ‘Stree’ he was playing a very open minded and fun loving ‘deddy’ who made the audience laugh on his jokes and the way of explaining sex to his son’. But in Batti Gul Meter Chalu he will be seen playing a father whose son commits suicide and he is hoping that his son is given the justice he deserves.
‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and produced by Bhusan Kumar and has actors like Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Yami Gautam and Divyendu Sharma.
