Prasthaanam is the remake of Telugu hit movie directed by Deva Katta, who will also be directing the Hindi remake of the film. Ali Fazal, the Victoria and Abdul actor will be seen playing Sanjay Dutt’s son in the film. His reel life brother will be played by Satyajeet Dubey who is Ali’s dear friend in real life. The two actors who will play brothers on screen have acted before in the 2011 film, Always Kabhi Kabhi, a red chillies production. What started as a budding friendship in 2011 is now a fully blossomed one where not only are the two ‘bros’ but they used to even be housemates.
The two seem to be having a fantastic time on the sets of Prasthaanam and as they know each other very well their camaraderie onscreen is natural as well.
When asked Ali, he said, “I have known Satya for 9 years now. We have lived together as housemates at different points in our lives around college time. I used to rent a place in Bandra West, and Satya had joined in at some point for a year. Satya and I bonded over my first film as a lead in Red Chillies Entertainment Always Kabhi Kabhi. The movie got lost on release. So we learnt our first disappointments together. We always planned to work on a film together. Happy it worked out eventually in Prasthaanam.”
