One of the finest actors, Viineet Kumar’s performance in Mukkabaaz managed to strike a chord with both audience and critics and even won best actor award (critics’ choice). He also got rave reviews in films like Gold, Gangs of Wasseypur. His upcoming film, Aadhaar, which is based on struggles of a common man caught amidst bureaucratic red tape, promises quality cinema as well.
According to the source close to the actor, “Aadhaar will premiere at the 24th Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. The festival, which invites talent from all around the world, will screen the film in October under the category — A Window on Asian Cinema. Directed by National Award winner, Suman Ghosh, Aadhaar is perhaps one of the most relevant films in today’s times and Viineet is very happy with the first platform where it will be screened.” Commenting on the same Viineet said, “This film has been made keeping the realities of every citizen in the mind. My character, who struggles with the government’s bureaucratic procedures, represents the common man and his state of mind. I truly believe that this film has the caliber to touch millions of hearts because of its realistic representation. There couldn’t have been a better platform than Busan International Film Festival to reach its first set of audiences. I am very happy and grateful to the makers of the film and organizers of the festival to bring this movie to this stage.”
