NETFLIX launches The Brand New Show

What do you get when you have a stage full of India’s best comedic and acting talent engage in a battle of wits, words and gameplay! Da Dummmm… The Brand New Show! 

Announcing the arrival of The Brand New Show, Netflix India’s newest format for the Netflix India You Tube channel where talk show meets sketch comedy. This fortnightly entertainment episode promises topical monologues, banterful conversation, hilarious skits, and puts the spotlight on the country’s comedic elite and the biggest stars.

Filmed in front of a live studio audience, every episode will be helmed by a brand new host. The show is brought together by a team of returning cast members, comprising Rytasha Rathore (Badho Bahu fame), Manik Papneja, Sainee Raj, and Aseem Chandaver (part of Tadpatri Talkies). These artists star in hilarious sketches and will feature in live games, helping our celebrity guests and hosts up the ante of entertainment.

The first episode is hosted by Instagram sensation and star of the upcoming Netflix film, Ghost Stories, Kusha Kapila, and will guest star the leading ladies of Bard Of Blood, Sobhita Dhulipala and Kirti Kulhari.

Viineet bhai always treated me as his younger brother: Abhishekh Khan

Actor Abhishekh Khan who has been receiving a lot of appreciation for his character in Red Chillies Entertainment and Netflix original “Bard of Blood” recently got candid about his bonding with his co-actor Viineet Kumar.

“Viineet bhai is like a true Mentor, I had great fun while shooting, we initially bonded on the films that we liked in common. He also guided me to master the nuiances of my character and made me very comfortable on the set, which helped me perform during the shoot. I can call him anytime for any guidance and he is always there for me. I am a fan of his craft and thankful for his support,” explained Abhishekh.

Abhishekh is seen playing an impressive character of a 19 year old Balochistan Armed Forces leader who joins forces with Indian Agents (Emraan Hashmi,Viineet Kumar & Sobhita Dhulipala) in order  to take revenge for the death of his sister.

“The way you have performed as Nushrat, your lehja, face expressions, leader attitude and character work…brilliant Bhai,” tweeted RJ Alok on Abhishekh.

“Everyone was very welcomeng on the sets, they did not make me feel like a new comer at all…And that made me realize that they are not just good actors but even better human beings.”

It won’t be wrong to say that Abhishekh Khan has a long way to go and he is one of the young talent we should look out for.

Actor Abhishekh Khan makes his powerful debut with ‘Bard of Blood’

Theatre artist Abhishekh Khan is heaping praises from all across the nation for his digital debut in ‘Bard of Blood’. He is seen playing an impressive character of Nusrat Marri who is the leader of Baluchistan Armed forces (BAF). To get into the skin of the character Abhishekh went through lot of hard work and preparation. The actor had to literally lose 9 kgs and got tanned to get the real look for his role as Nusrat. He even underwent gun training & language training to appear as a true 19 year old Balochi.

When asked Abhishekh about his experience playing Nusrat he adds, “I feel Lucky to work for such a big production house. Above all I was on cloud nine, when Shahrukh sir wished me and remembered me as Nusrat at the premier.”

The Netflix streaming web-series ‘Bard of Blood’ that is based on the novel written by Bilal Siddiqui and is a political spy thriller, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.

Viineet Kumar packs a punch in Saand ki Aankh trailer

Mukkabaaz fame versatile actor Viineet Kumar is all set for his upcoming Diwali release Saand Ki Aankh. The trailer of Saand Ki Aankh starring Taapsee Pannu, Bhumi Pednekar and Viineet Kumar is out now. The film is revolves around Chandro and Prakashi who take up shooting at the age of 60 to encourage their daughters towards a bright future as they did not want their daughters to go through a lifetime of suppression.

Viineet is playing a dynamic role of the trainer to Taapsee Pannu (Prakashi) and Bhumi Pednekar (Chandro). Dr. Yashpal played by Viineet Kumar acts as a catalyst and provides support and strength to Prakashi and Chandro to combat patriarchy and truly come on their own. He is a harbringer of change in a deeply rooted male dominant society of Haryana. It’s remarkable to see the film that totally focuses on female protagonist and Viineet seems to have an impactful performance.

Not only in Saand Ki Aankh but Kumar will be debuting in his upcoming Netflix web Bard Of Blood releasing this September and his Aadhaar film is going to hit the theatres this December.

Aadhaar has the caliber to win millions of hearts: Viineet Kumar

One of the finest actors, Viineet Kumar’s performance in Mukkabaaz managed to strike a chord with both audience and critics and even won best actor award (critics’ choice). He also got rave reviews in films like Gold, Gangs of Wasseypur. His upcoming film, Aadhaar, which is based on struggles of a common man caught amidst bureaucratic red tape, promises quality cinema as well.

According to the source close to the actor, “Aadhaar will premiere at the 24th Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. The festival, which invites talent from all around the world, will screen the film in October under the category — A Window on Asian Cinema. Directed by National Award winner, Suman Ghosh, Aadhaar is perhaps one of the most relevant films in today’s times and Viineet is very happy with the first platform where it will be screened.” Commenting on the same Viineet said, “This film has been made keeping the realities of every citizen in the mind. My character, who struggles with the government’s bureaucratic procedures, represents the common man and his state of mind. I truly believe that this film has the caliber to touch millions of hearts because of its realistic representation. There couldn’t have been a better platform than Busan International Film Festival to reach its first set of audiences. I am very happy and grateful to the makers of the film and organizers of the festival to bring this movie to this stage.”

Viineet Kumar will be seen next in ‘Bard of Blood’ which also stars Emraan Hashmi and Sobhita Dhulipala, and ‘Saand Ki Aankh’, which is scheduled to release this Diwali.
