Television actress Samikssha Bhatnagar is receiving immense appreciation for her portrayal of Shruti Ahuja in Anupamaa, the popular show produced by Deepa Shahi and Rajan Shahi. For the actress, the journey has been both professionally rewarding and personally enriching, allowing her to connect deeply with audiences across the country.
Known for her dedication and disciplined approach, Samikssha Bhatnagar believes acting is more than just a profession—it is a passion she treats with utmost respect. “For me, the shooting set is like a temple, and the camera is God. Every day, I come to work with the intention of performing better, learning something new, and spreading positivity through my craft,” she shared.
Despite her demanding schedule, fitness remains an integral part of her daily routine. A self-confessed fitness enthusiast, Samikssha ensures she makes time for exercise even between scenes. Whether it is a gym session before work or bodyweight workouts during breaks, she believes staying physically active helps her remain focused and energized throughout the day.
Speaking about her role, the actress revealed that portraying Shruti Ahuja is both challenging and emotionally demanding. She considers every character an opportunity to grow and evolve as an artist. “I constantly strive to improve myself and bring authenticity to every scene. Shruti is a layered character with complex emotions, and portraying her truthfully requires a lot of sensitivity,” she said.
Samikssha explained that Shruti’s unwavering love for her daughter is at the heart of the character. “She is a deeply caring mother who can go to any extent for her child. There’s a delicate balance in the role because certain situations may make her appear negative, but my effort is always to highlight the love, vulnerability, and emotional depth that define her,” she added.
The actress also credits her family for being her strongest support system. Their encouragement and excitement when she joined Anupamaa continue to motivate her every day.
When asked what matters more—awards or audience appreciation—Samikssha answered without hesitation. “The audience’s love is the greatest reward for any actor. Their acceptance and connection with your character make all the hard work worthwhile. Awards are wonderful, but it is the viewers who truly make an artist successful.”
Grateful for the overwhelming response to her performance, Samikssha thanked producer Rajan Shahi and the audience for their trust, love, and continued support.
