Actress, Model and anchor Ekta Jain has played varied roles in TV shows like Shagun, Shakalaka Boom Boom, Family No. 1 & Apun Toh Bas Vaise Hi. Ekta said, “I’m glad that I got an opportunity to play different roles.”
Ekta Jain will be seen in Dushyant Pratap Singh’s films Shatranj and Trahimaam. She has played a cop in Shatranj which also stars Hiten Tejwani, Kavita Tripathi, Pankaj Berry, Hemant Pandey, Ashutosh Kaushik, Shawar Ali, Rajkumar Kanojia and Zaid Khan. Ekta plays a lawyer in Trahimaam which also stars Arshi Khan, Mushtaq Khan, Adi Irani and Pankaj Berry. The film is a Courtroom Drama. The actress said, “I love the fact that my role in the film commands authority and everyone gets scared as she enters the courtroom.”
When asked about both the films are related to law and order, She laughs and said, “Yes, I am lucky to get opportunity to play two different roles actually related to our judiciary system. Now I can definitely say Kanoon Ke Haath Lambe Hote Hai.”
Sharing her experience of working with Dushyant Pratap Singh, Ekta said, “This is my second Film with Dushyant Ji and it was amazing working with him. He is planning to release both the films together on the same date. I Hope audience will enjoy my work in both the films.”
Talking about the upcoming projects, the actress has International projects lined up in the future. She said, “Currently, I can’t talk about those projects, but will soon reveal the details about the films.”
Ekta’s other film Khali Bali is ready for release. The film directed by Manoj Sharma stars Dharmendra, Rajniesh Duggal, Kainat Arora, Madhoo, Vijay Raaj and Rajpal Yadav.
Last year the actress tested positive for Covid-19 with mild symptoms. She spent time reading four scripts, also did Mandala painting and kept doing live chats on FB and Instagram. Cooking is her hobby, so she learnt to prepare new dishes during the quarantine time at home.
