Vishaal Mohan is gradually establishing himself in the film industry through a range of diverse roles and a strong dedication to his craft. Interestingly, his journey into cinema began behind the camera rather than in front of it. Vishaal Mohan first stepped into the world of filmmaking as an assistant director on Guzaarish, where he had the opportunity to work under renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He later assisted on the film Aisha, gaining valuable insights into storytelling, direction, and the overall filmmaking process before eventually transitioning into acting.
Vishaal Mohan made his acting debut with the film Game 100 Crore Ka. Since then, he has taken on a variety of roles that reflect his willingness to explore different shades as a performer. From playing a sincere young man in Yadav Ji Ki Love Story to portraying a government officer in Aashiqui Imtehaan Leti Hai, and later appearing in a contrasting role in Mehndi 2, Vishaal Mohan has continuously experimented with characters that challenge him creatively.
Talking about the changing landscape of cinema, Vishaal Mohan believes that audiences today are far more aware and discerning. “Viewers have become very intelligent. With better access to education and information, they understand filmmaking much better now. They can easily identify who is delivering a strong performance and who is not,” Vishaal Mohan said. According to him, the audience ultimately holds the real power. “Today the audience decides who rises and who fades away. Fame is entirely in their hands.”
Vishaal Mohan also acknowledged the growing influence of digital platforms in shaping modern entertainment. He feels that streaming platforms have opened new avenues for storytelling and learning. “There is so much content available on OTT platforms today. I enjoy watching different performances and studying how actors approach their characters. It helps me learn something new every day,” he shared.
Currently, Vishaal Mohan is working on a new comedy project with a first-time director whose storytelling style impressed him. Reflecting on his journey so far, he admits that the appreciation he has received from audiences has only strengthened his determination to work harder and continue evolving as an actor.
