Well, all good things come to an end! Literally so! One of the popular comedy shows Partners Trouble Ho Gayi Double on SAB TV is going off air, and it was an emotional experience for actor Vipul Roy, while shooting for the last episode of the show. The show also features comedian Asrani, Johnny Lever and Kiku Sharda. Vipul said, “I play a cop in the show. It was one of the last scenes and I was supposed to be getting a posting elsewhere and when the entire team is giving their final salute, I tell Johnny sir how he has been a phenomenal commissioner and I connected him as a father figure and not as a senior. After that I am looking for Kiku and he is hiding behind the car, crying. After the scene ended, the entire unit started crying and had tears in their eyes. Everyone from the spot boy to the tea guy to the entire crew had tears in their eyes. I was extremely touched and it was an overwhelming moment for all of us.”
Recalling his experience while shooting for the show, Vipul shared how this was one show that never had its members suffering from any ego clashes or issues. He said, “From the time we started shooting for the show, (we have shot 220 episodes), no one suffered from any ego clashes, there were no conflicts and actors like Asrani and Johnny Lever were so humble that it was a learning experience acting with them.”
Vipul, who has been part of interesting shows like F.I.R and Sahib, Biwi Aur Boss, has been known for his perfect comic timing in shows. The actor hopes that he gets to do a love story soon as he has never been part of such shows before.
Ask the actor if he will be part of the second season of Partners and he says, “Haan dost, picture abhi baaki hai. There is a second installment coming from Partners and hopefully you will soon see me in action again on your television sets. Watch out for more.”
