Well known Playwright/Screenwriter/Director Feroz Abbas Khan whose film “Gandhi My Father” starring Akshayye Khanna, Darshan Zariwala & Shefali Shah went on to win National Award – Special Jury Award, National Award for best screenplay & Zee cine Critics Award for best female actress Shefali Shah, is currently busy creating history with his musical Mughal-E-Azam on stage, a classical movie turned in to a spectacular stage musical.
Feroz K Abbas besides Mughal-E-Azam is credited with creating a unique TV series “Main Kuch Bhi Kar Sakti Hoon” which falls under the category of edutainment (education+entertainment), first of its kind from Indian entertainment industry, which is touted to be the world’s most watched show telecast in over 50 countries in more than 11 dubbed languages. Feroz Abbas Khan had a tough time looking for the right face for his series male protagonist, someone who is intense but at the same time pleasant looking onscreen. For season 1 in 2013 after auditioning over 500 candidates he finally zeroed in on Uvaa & Bhouri film fame actor Vikrant Rai who successfully continued to lead the show as male protagonist from season 1 to Season 2.
However it came as surprise to him when he got the call from the team again to reprise his role for the third time, Knowing the fact that Feroz Abbas Khan usually don’t continue with same actors for long time and actors are shown door at the slightest hint of dissatisfaction by their performance.
“It comes as a pleasant surprise to be repeated by him for the third time. Especially when he is known to be a demanding & absolutely non compromising director when it comes to performance. It shows his faith on me as an actor & I am looking forward to resume 3rd season of the show,” confirms Vikrant Rai.
