Staying true to its promise of delivering fresh, relatable family entertainment, &TV is all set to strengthen its fiction lineup with the launch of its new show Gharwali Pedwali. Produced by Peninsula Productions, the show premieres on December 15 at 10:00 PM and will air every Monday to Friday. With its lively ensemble cast and a quirky supernatural twist, the show promises a daily dose of laughter, warmth and wholesome entertainment.

Gharwali Pedwali stars Paras Arora as Jeetu Pandey, alongside Seerat Kapoor as his modern, grounded wife Savi (the Gharwali) and Priyamvada Kant as Latika (the Pedwali), a spirited ghost bride from another era. The cast is further strengthened by seasoned performers including Richa Soni, Geeta Bisht, Harsh Vashisht, Brij Bhushan Shukla and Amitabh Ghanekar in pivotal roles.
At the heart of the story is Jeetu, a man whose life seems forever surrounded by unexpected “twos” — two mothers, two fathers, two bosses, and now, by destiny’s most bizarre twist, two wives. What begins as a simple love story soon turns into delightful chaos when an astrological complication leads to a symbolic marriage with a tree. Unbeknownst to Jeetu, this ritual awakens Latika, a charming ghost who firmly believes she is his rightful bride. Caught between his real wife and his supernatural one, Jeetu’s life spirals into hilarious confusion, emotional dilemmas and magical mayhem.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of Varanasi, the show Gharwali Pedwali beautifully blends slice-of-life family moments with playful fantasy. The contrast between Savi’s contemporary outlook and Latika’s old-world charm sparks constant comedic clashes, while Jeetu struggles to balance love, loyalty and sanity in a house that refuses to stay ordinary.
Speaking about the show, Kaveri Das, Chief Channel Officer, &TV, shares that Gharwali Pedwali offers a refreshing take on family comedy by combining familiar emotions with imaginative storytelling. Peninsula Productions adds that the supernatural element brings freshness while keeping the narrative warm, heartfelt and relatable.
Paras Arora describes Jeetu as endearing and chaotic, while Priyamvada Kant calls Latika dramatic, affectionate and mischievous. Seerat Kapoor adds that Savi’s strength and humour make her journey both emotional and entertaining.
With its charming characters, inventive premise and feel-good humour, Gharwali Pedwali is poised to become a delightful addition to Indian television. Tune in from December 15 at 10:00 PM, only on &TV.
