“The narrative of Sadak 2 is pulled out from my lived life,” says Mahesh Bhatt

On the eve of his 70th birthday, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has announced his much anticipated & speculated return to direction. Bhatt will be directing the sequel to his 1990’s landmark film Sadak.

The film will see Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur uniting on the big screen for the first time. Not just that, this is also the first time that Mahesh Bhatt will be directing his daughter Alia.

Sadak was not only a commercial blockbuster but went onto achieving cult status and etched itself in people’s hearts as one of the greatest love stories of the time that has endured until date.

With his trademark candor and brutal honesty, Mahesh Bhatt describes the feeling of being back in the drivers seat as director for Sadak 2. “Like the spider gets its thread from his own guts. The narrative of Sadak 2 is pulled out from my lived life. It’s a film about living, loving and dealing with the anguish of the loss of a loved one.”

What is interesting is that, Sadak 2 will also see the Bhatt sisters uniting with their father for the first time for a film.

Mukesh Bhatt adds, “Though I have made so many films in the 32 years of Vishesh Films, Sadak has a very special place in my heart because it’s one of the most iconic hits of my career. My gladiator Mahesh Bhatt is back to perform in the arena once again. Sanjay Dutt and him have a magical past and they share a bond which is beyond professional understanding. With Alia coming on board, Pooja being there and my daughter Sakshi, who is the co-producer of the film – The three sisters will be seen performing important roles. I feel it is a very emotional moment for me to see this happening. Sadak is not just a project for me, it is very close to my heart. I know this journey will be the most fulfilling experience that I have had in so many years as a filmmaker and I am looking forward to it.”

A Mukesh Bhatt Presentation of a Mahesh Bhatt Film, Sadak 2 is a Vishesh Films Production and is slated to release on 25th March 2020.

Sachet- Parampara take Shahid & Shraddha on a spiritual journey through ‘Har Har Gange’

Bollywood’s first male-female duo music director and singers Sachet- Parampara’s another song ‘Har Har Gange’ is going to out today from the film ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’.  The Ganga Aarti, ‘Har Har Gange’, is a devotional song and is an ode to Ganga. The song is sung by Arijit Singh.

The song explains the spirit of holy Ganga and its purity which promises to take the audience on a spiritual journey.

After the massive hit of ‘Hard Hard’ from Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Sachet-Parampara, the music director duo, are surprising us with their talent through the different genre of songs. Talking about the song, Sachet said, “We are excited as well as nervous. It’s an overwhelming feeling to see that audiences are loving our song and acknowledging our hard work. This is definitely one of a kind song and we are not going to stop surprising people for sure.”

Parampara added, “To get the feeling of the song, we decided to go to Rishikesh to create this song. The vibe of Rishikesh is totally different and we wanted to compose something which can give the same vibe in the song. We took the inspiration and the feeling instantly once we reached there and I believe we justified our purpose of taking the audience and the story of the film in the spiritual journey as well.”

Apart from ‘Har Har Gange’ and ‘Hard Hard’ from Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Sachet- Parampara recently worked for ‘Nazarbattu’ song from the film ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se. They have also worked for the films like Akshay Kumar’s “Toilet- Ek Prem Katha” and Sanjay Dutt’s “Bhoomi”.

The video releasing today, so stay tuned.

Ali and Satyajeet bonding on the sets of Prasthaanam

Prasthaanam is the remake of Telugu hit movie directed by Deva Katta, who will also be directing the Hindi remake of the film. Ali Fazal, the Victoria and Abdul actor will be seen playing Sanjay Dutt’s son in the film. His reel life brother will be played by Satyajeet Dubey who is Ali’s dear friend in real life. The two actors who will play brothers on screen have acted before in the 2011 film, Always Kabhi Kabhi, a red chillies production. What started as a budding friendship in 2011 is now a fully blossomed one where not only are the two ‘bros’ but they used to even be housemates.

The two seem to be having a fantastic time on the sets of Prasthaanam and as they know each other very well their camaraderie onscreen is natural as well.

When asked Ali, he said, “I have known Satya for 9 years now. We have lived together as housemates at different points in our lives around college time. I used to rent a place in Bandra West, and Satya had joined in at some point for a year. Satya and I bonded over my first film as a lead in Red Chillies Entertainment Always Kabhi Kabhi. The movie got lost on release. So we learnt our first disappointments together. We always planned to work on a film together. Happy it worked out eventually in Prasthaanam.”
