Sanjay Dutt who has been extremely busy shooting for his multiple projects relentlessly is making a grand comeback with an exciting line up of five films in 2019.
The actor has a jam packed year with the shoot schedules of his home production, Prasthanam in Lucknow, where he plays the leader of a political party in Uttar Pradesh, and his upcoming films Torbaaz, Panipat, Shamshera, Sadak 2 and the multistarrer, Kalank simultaneously.
Sanjay Dutt will be seen in a variety of roles such as an army officer, an Afghan king, Billiards champions and a politician. He is leaving no stone unturned to nail his performances in all these films.
The month of November has especially been very busy for the actor as he finished the shoot schedules of not one, but three of his upcoming projects.
In order to meet his deadlines, he has made changes in his lifestyle and is following a strict routine. Amidst all this, he also ensures he spares time for his family as he feels his family is his driving force.
Despite juggling the shoot schedules of multiple films Sanjay Dutt looks completely energetic, enthusiastic and comes prepared every day on the sets. The actor creates a very warm and friendly atmosphere on the sets and ensures everyone is having fun while working.
While most stars would spend hours at the gym getting in shape for their films, Aditya Roy Kapur underwent a body transformation of a different kind for Karan Johar’s Kalank.
Aditya, who is undoubtedly one of the fittest actors in the industry, had to lose muscle and sport a leaner physique for the film, keeping it as real as it could get.
Since the young star had bulked up for his previous film, he entirely stopped working out and resumed his regular diet to achieve his naturally lean frame.
Says a source, “Aditya enjoys going to the gym and most of his films in the past required him to sport a muscular physique. However, he had to lose all the muscle weight for Kalank, given that the film is a period drama and his look had to be natural and real ,typical to that particular era. Aditya stopped training in the gym and let go of his diet, eating just about anything to achieve the look”.
Aditya Roy Kapur is currently shooting for the next schedule of Kalank with Alia Bhatt and will soon start prep for Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2.
On the eve of his 70th birthday, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has announced his much anticipated & speculated return to direction. Bhatt will be directing the sequel to his 1990’s landmark film Sadak.
The film will see Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt, Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur uniting on the big screen for the first time. Not just that, this is also the first time that Mahesh Bhatt will be directing his daughter Alia.
Sadak was not only a commercial blockbuster but went onto achieving cult status and etched itself in people’s hearts as one of the greatest love stories of the time that has endured until date.
With his trademark candor and brutal honesty, Mahesh Bhatt describes the feeling of being back in the drivers seat as director for Sadak 2. “Like the spider gets its thread from his own guts. The narrative of Sadak 2 is pulled out from my lived life. It’s a film about living, loving and dealing with the anguish of the loss of a loved one.”
What is interesting is that, Sadak 2 will also see the Bhatt sisters uniting with their father for the first time for a film.
Mukesh Bhatt adds, “Though I have made so many films in the 32 years of Vishesh Films, Sadak has a very special place in my heart because it’s one of the most iconic hits of my career. My gladiator Mahesh Bhatt is back to perform in the arena once again. Sanjay Dutt and him have a magical past and they share a bond which is beyond professional understanding. With Alia coming on board, Pooja being there and my daughter Sakshi, who is the co-producer of the film – The three sisters will be seen performing important roles. I feel it is a very emotional moment for me to see this happening. Sadak is not just a project for me, it is very close to my heart. I know this journey will be the most fulfilling experience that I have had in so many years as a filmmaker and I am looking forward to it.”
A Mukesh Bhatt Presentation of a Mahesh Bhatt Film, Sadak 2 is a Vishesh Films Production and is slated to release on 25th March 2020.
