It was an honour to direct Terence Lewis Sir says Dancer-choreographer Saurabh Prajapati

Bollywood’s youngest dance director and choreographer Saurabh Prajapti, who has worked with some of the biggest names in Bollywood, recently directed a music video called ‘Tu hai toh’ starring Terence Lewis and Digangana Suryavanshi , sung by Ash King and Palak Muchhal, composed by Palaash Muchhal on Pal Musics YouTube channel.  Saurabh’s journey with dance started at a very young age and by 15 he had graduated in dance, learning from various international choreographers. Post which, Saurabh joined Terrance Lewis’s dance academy for a bit and then started working independently as a choreographer and dance director.

Talking about his experience of directing and choreographing his mentor, Saurabh said, “Life has come by in a full circle, this will always be one of my most cherished works, as I got to choreograph and direct my mentor Terence Sir. The melody of the song is sweet and playful, so the direction and movement had to be more candid and natural. Directing ‘Tu hai toh’ was challenging amidst all the limitations but we all gelled well as a team and everyone had the same vision. Shoot on sets was quite smooth and we finished the entire shoot in 6 hours.”

The song which has already crossed 2 million views has been loved and appreciated by all. Saurabh added, “This is my third video out in a month’s time and I loved exploring a different side of me while not just choreographing but also directing the music video. I am so glad to see the response my work has been getting and everyone’s loving the look and feel of the music video. The music video is flowy, smooth, has a lot of emotions and the flavour is very catchy. “

The young and talented 21 year old choreographer has been basking in glory in the amazing feedback and reviews for his two other plum projects- Presented by T-Series the artistic contemporary dance to the romantic track ‘Kandhe Ka Woh Til’ featuring dancers Salman Yusuf Khan & Zaara Yesmin, Sung by Sachet Tandon and ‘Tere Bagair’ sung by legendary singer Udit Narayan and performed by Aditya Narayan. Saurabh was also an assistant choreographer for the Nora Fatehi Starrer song ‘Pachtaoge’

Varun Mitra Gets Inspiration From Real Life For His Character In Jalebi

Varun Mitra will soon be seen making his debut in Vishesh Films’ Jalebi. The actor will be seen playing the role of the tour guide in the film. What is interesting is that the actor has hosted a couple of travel shows. This certainly helped the actor prep for his role. Talking about the same, the actor says, “For a travel show most of the time there is no script. It is all spontaneous what happens. There is no plan as such, which according to Me is what makes it fun to watch. Our film obviously had a script, but having been a travel show host, made it easier to bring that spontaneity to devs character without losing the essence of the script.”

Bollywood’s Elite in love with the music of Jalebi

When everyone from Karan Johar, Badshah to Pritam is hooked to the music of a soon-to-released film, you know they are hitting the right notes when the music actually drops. The Bhatt’s are known for soulful melodies over the years and this validation further amplifies the class of music.

Karan Johar, says, “Heard all the songs of Jalebi and I’m absolutely spell bound! Kudos to Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt for creating magic, time and over again! “

But what goes into the making of the trademark Bhatt sound? It is believed that the reason their music works is because the sounds are fresh and have soulful  melodies that resonate with listeners and stick in memory.

A long-time Bhatt collaborator, Pritam narrows down the secret ingredient. “Being soulful, this is what a traditional Bollywood album is all about”.

The one word being repetitively used by everyone we spoke to, to define this soon to be released album is “soulful” and “melodic.” Some are even calling it as the surprise album of the year.

A multi-composer album, the lyrics of each of the songs are deep, enthralling and emotional and brings the album alive.

Album of the year? Guess we mere mortals will have to wait a little longer to know for sure. The Trailer of Jalebi along with its first song titled Tum Se will be released on Monday, 10th September.
