Honouring the best of Marathi television and artists, BIG FM had recently announced its first ever BIG Marathi Entertainment Awards. The awards recognised the best of Marathi television industry by reaching out to listeners and Marathi entertainment enthusiasts who contributed to the process immensely by voting for their favourite artists! Voting lines of the awards closed recently where the radio network received a whopping 75000+ votes for their favourite celebrities and stars amongst the various categories. Hosted by RJ Bandya, known for the radio network’s hugely popular Marathi segment ‘4 cha Chaha’, BIG FM has now announced the winners of the coveted awards!Held across 10 popular categories, the popular show ‘Sundara Manamadhye Bharali’ took home 4 awards for BIG Best Character (Female & Male), won by Akshaya Naik and Sameer Paranjpe, the lead actors of ‘Sundara Manamadhye Bharali’.
BIG Supporting Character and BIG Best Villian (Male), won by Sandesh Upsham and Hrishikesh Shelar respectively. ‘Jay Jay Swami’, one of the most popular songs in the Marathi Television bagged the trophy of BIG Best Title Song, whereas the Desai Family from ‘Ajunhi Barsat Aahe’ were adorned with the title of BIG Best Family. Celebrating their on screen chemistry, Dr. Meera and Dr. Adiraja from ‘Ajunhi Barsat Aahe’ grabbed the award for BIG Best Jodi. The talented Harshada Khanvilkar was honoured with the BIG Supporting Character (Female) for the show ‘Rang Majha Vegla’. The BIG Best Negative Role (Female) award went to Rupali Bhoasale for the show ‘Aai Kuthe Kay Karte’. Lastly, ‘Maharashtrachi Hasyajatra’, a comedy show where professional comedians from different regions of Maharashtra perform a specialised series of hilarious acts, was recognised with the BIG Best Non Fiction Show award.

The BIG Marathi Entertainment Awards witnessed the best of diverse talents come together to receive all the love and acknowledgment from BIG FM listeners. It was extensively promoted on BIG FM and RJ Bandya’s social media platforms where listeners logged in to cast their vote and decide the winners.
