Known for his unique choices of roles in the recent past, Sikandar Kher has now taken things to another level. He will next be seen in a film based on surrogacy piloted by the debutant director-duo Siddharth Singh & Garima Wahal. The duo has commercially and critically successful movies like Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram-leela and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha added to their credit as writers, leaving almost no scope for error when it comes to storytelling at its core.
The film deals with a topic which needs the expertise of talented and hard-working individuals, thus comes in Monika Panwar, or better known as ‘Guddi’ of Jamtara: Sabka Number Aayega fame. She has been roped in to play the lead role alongside Sikandar Kher and if sources are to be believed, the two have already started prepping up for their respective roles as their characters and the film’s subject – both require a degree of research before the shoot commences.
Sikandar Kher is one name who has an innately sincere disposition to all the roles he has portrayed. Be it his portrayal of Zoravar Singh Solanki in the Zoya Factor or Colonel Khan in Romeo Akbar Walter, he leaves his mark among his peers. As Sikandar embarks on a new journey, he holds a bag of mixed emotions.
Monkey Man is an upcoming American action thriller directed by the renowned Dev Patel who also stars in the film. Monkey Man will probably go down in Sikandar’s life as one of the rarest moments of happiness and sadness mixed together. Speaking about his huge transformation Sikandar says, ”Monkey Man is the biggest opportunity being thrown at me. It is one step ahead to reach out to a completely new audience. I wanted to give it my all. My part in the film requires a bulky figure and I have worked very hard to alter my structure to suit the role.”
