Actor Sharad Malhotra who’s known for his work in the Hindi television industry was recently seen at the launch of the Made in India Pictures (MIIP) film festival. The actor who’s on the jury members list of the film festival opens up on why he rightfully chose to support and promote this freshly launched film festival.
Made in India Pictures MIIP Film Festival, launched by producer and talent manager, Santosh Gupta, is an initiative to encourage fresh talent of India to create short films. The end goal of the film festival is to launch the winners into the industry and push them to have a successful career.
Talking about his participation in the film festival as a jury member, actor Sharad Malhotra says, “I think this platform is wonderful to give this talent and opportunity to enter the industry and grow as an artist. This film festival encourages actors directors and writers to create short films that touch one’s heart!”
He further adds, “I was given a chance (in the industry) too by someone and so I hope others get a chance too. Everybody deserves a fair chance. There’s so much talent in India that needs to be discovered and come forward”.
Actors Yuvika Choudhary, Arjun Bijlani, Gaurav Bajaj, singer Amit Gupta, Megha Dang, Shubhashini Shah among many others were seen supporting the beautiful initiative of Made in India Pictures.

Sharad Malhotra is known for playing distinctive roles in show such as Naagin 5, Kasam tere Pyaar Ki and Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap. He has also directed the short film Prem Gajra Aur Chilli Chicken. Besides this, Sharad has been part of many music videos as well, such as Bepanah Pyaar. He played the role of an unsung warrior of Odisha, Buxi Jagabandu Bidhyadhar Mohapatra Brahmbar Rai in Vidrohi.
