A Charity Dinner was hosted for CSA by the MARS Group at the Waterstones Club, an exclusive club located in Andheri, Mumbai. This is the second year in succession that the Group has organized a fund-raising Charity Dinner for CSA. Over 120 persons representing Corporate Houses, Celebrities and HNIs participated in the event. Well-known Dancer and Choreographer, Sandip Soparrkar, who is also Cause Ambassador, CSA, along with his troupe entertained the guests. In addition, 12 children from an orphanage supported by CSA performed under Sandip’s guidance. The amount collected from an auction of tribal art donated by Baaya Design was also part of the proceedings.
Highlighting the need to support the cause, Mr. Vipul Jain, President- CSA appealed, “Today, there are around a million orphans and destitute children in orphanages and adoption agencies in India. The standard of care and facilities in these institutes need a major upgrade for holistic rehabilitation. We also need to explore family based alternative like adoption and work towards better rehabilitation outcome. We are making all efforts in this direction through CSA.”
Mrs. Bharati Dasgupta, Managing Trustee – CSA, said, “Through CSA we aim to provide better living conditions and care to every orphan and destitute child in India. To fulfill this objective it is critical to gain moral and monetary support from the citizens of India. On this occasion, I would like to thank all the members and sponsors who have supported us for the cause.”
