Bollywood & TV Actor – Model Sandesh Gour recently did a promo song for a reality show ‘Wah Ustad’ for Doordarshan. The show is based on Classical, Semi Classical & Sufi Music. The official launch of “Wah Ustad”, under Wave Summit India held at the National Media Center, New Delhi, in collaboration with National Doordarshan, Ministry of I & B and Ministry of Culture. This reality show is a tribute to India’s unmatched musical legacy, celebrating the maestros and the timeless beauty of Indian classical, semi classical and folk music.
Present on the occasion were Hon’ble Minister of Culture Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat Ji, Hon’ble Minister of Information and Broadcasting Shri Ashwini Vaishnav Ji, Secretary of Ministry of 1&B Mr. Sanjay Jaju Ji, Visionary Filmmaker Mr. Shekhar Kapur Ji, CEO of Prasar Bharati Mr. Gaurav Dwivedi, Mr. Arunish Chawla and many more.
Sandesh Gour is paired with actress Suzanna Reddy for the song. Music Director & Singer Manmeet of Meet Brothers, who not only composed and produced the stunning anthem but also became the deserving face of this Dilli Gharana initiative.
The Promo Song of reality show “Wah Ustad” starts with singer Manmeet who introduces the reality show. In the song Sandesh is playing Harmonium, Tabla, Flute. It also features Sufi Singer and representative of the Dilli Gharana Vusat Iqbal Khan, Ustad Imran Khan & Ustad Iqbal Ahmed Khan. Promo Song is sung by singers Ashutosh & Vusat. The Music Video is directed by Varun Kaushik under the banner of production house Varun Kaushik Films.
As part of the CIC Challenge, Wah Ustad is more than a reality show-it’s a celebration of our heritage and a platform to honor India’s great musical traditions.
