Critically acclaimed music composer Sachin Sanghvi of Sachin Jigar who has a vast repertoire of work to his credit in the Gujarati entertainment industry has created and sung a folk single inspired by Navratri, as an ode to the Radha Krishna romance this Navratri.
Titled Radha Ne Shyam Mali Jashe, the track also features Shruti Pathak while the lyrics are penned by Bhargav Purohit.
Sachin Sanghvi states, “Radha Krishna was a fascinating anecdote for me since my childhood days. My parents always narrated stories and I always secretly desired that I would have a marriage like theirs. Ever since I was exposed to Gujarati folklore, I got to hear so many songs on how timeless and enchanting their love saga was and it was very natural for me to create a track inspired by Radha Krishna. No musician can ever skip acknowledging the Radha Krishna singularism of love in their music, it’s always omnipresent in some form. This is my second Garba inspired track on Radha Shyam but this one is special since I wanted to present the modern-day Gujarati mindset and community when it comes to Navratri celebrations. While creating it I implemented my urban commercial sensibility and gave a reinvented feel to the Gujarati folk sound by using acoustic guitars. The concept of the video was to make it relatable, to make sure every girl imagines she is Radha and her Shyam is around the corner since Garba is all about Radha-Shyam. Shruti Pathak has been an old school friend and her story is an inspiring one. I wanted to have a great on-screen comradely and she was a perfect fit.”
The acclaimed composer duo is currently busy with Made In China, Arjun Patiala after delivering success with Stree. Patiala, Gold and Parmanu.
