Many Good Samaritans are going the extra mile to help those in need amid the pandemic and RJ Raunac is one of them; going all out in the nation’s war against the pandemic.
RJ Raunac also makes heads turn and jaws hurt through his unique character Bauaa; he has started a slew of initiatives ranging from free doctor consultation online to raising funds for the treatment of covid patients, to regular workshops for frontline covid warrior’s mental well-being. Commenting on the occasion RJ Raunac said “I am ever grateful for the love and mind space that I receive from my audiences and fans all across the globe. The pandemic gave me some meaningful opportunities to work on-ground and be a conscious voice in devastating times. It was the time to do my bit for all the love and respect that people have showered over me and my initiatives over the years.” During the first lockdown, the Hon. P.M. Narendra Modi had organized a video conference with top Radio personalities & discussed the initiatives that can be taken by them; continuing the same spirit Rauanc decided to spread positivity on-air & through his social channels – covering stories of Covid warriors & survivors. Surprise Biryani parties and appreciation sessions were organized for health care workers by ‘Bauaa Cares’ a CSR initiative by RJ Raunac.
Raunac is India’s most-followed radio personality and is known for his tongue-in-cheek humor and witty punches. He speaks on basically anything and everything that affects the common man. Radio Stations have completely moved on a work from home pattern during the second wave of Covid-19; however, this did not stop the endeavors of RJ Raunac and on the contrary, he intensified his campaign. The RJ was also invited as a guest of honor due to his constant & innovative endeavors during the pandemic at an International Conference on Covid learnings wherein he spoke about ‘Role of media in improving the mental health of society and thereby managing Covid-19. At this conference representatives of South Asian countries were present. “Content creators have huge responsibilities on their shoulders during unprecedented times like these. It is important for us to walk the talk. My constant endeavor was to be the ray of sunshine and give people a reason to smile during these turbulent times. Media outlets should be a part of the solution & give direction to the society,” said RJ Raunac as he signed off for the moment.
