Shriyanss Arts & Motion Pictures production Shatir The Beginning was going to release on 23 May 2025 but the producer has decided to postponed the release to avoid the clash with other seven movies releasing on the same date. Producer Reshma Waikar has revealed the new date and now Shatir The Beginning will hit the screens on 13 June 2025.
Reshma Waikar has produced the film under the banner Shriyanss Arts & Motion Pictures. The film is about current scenario of today’s youth addicted to drugs, based on the true story. Sunil Sushila Dashrath Waikar is debuting as director in the film industry. The audience will watch the fight of college students against the addiction of drugs in young generation, drug mafias, conflict of the police system etc.
Talking about this, director Sunil Waikar said, “Shatir The Beginning is my first film as a director. An attempt has been made to give a social message by showing the addiction of drugs in youngsters and the increasing crime. The story is about the fight of students against this in the college.”
The producer of the film and the lead actress Reshma Waikar said, “The songs and trailer are getting great response from the audience. We have completed the procedure to release the film, but now we have decided to postpone release to avoid clash with seven other Marathi films releasing on the same time. Chitrapat Mahamandal must create a committee and try to ensure that more than two or three films will not release on the same date because if there are five to seven Marathi films releasing at same time, no one will get audience and ultimately Marathi film industry will suffer.”
Reshma Waikar plays the lead role along with Yogesh Soman, Ramesh Pardeshi, Mir Sarovar, Rameshwar Gite, Gaurav Rokade, Nishant Singh and Manoj Chaudhary. The music is composed by Rohit Nagbhide, lyrics by Vaibhav Deshmukh. The songs are sung by Vaishali Samant and Mugdha Karhade.
