Rajshri Productions (P) LTD in association with Mahaveer Jain Films and Boundless Media presents Uunchai. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Sarika, Danny Denzongpa, Parineeti Chopra and Nafisa Ali among others, Uunchai is written and directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions (P) LTD, Mahaveer Jain and Natasha Malpani Oswal. Uunchai is Rajshri Productions (P) Ltd.’s 60th film production and director Sooraj R. Barjatya’s 7th directorial venture.
The storyline of Uunchai is inspirational and is about how we can challenge ourselves, change the impossible into possible, never mind our age. It is a story of inspiration, where there is no age limit to do what we like… whether it is to learn a new language, a new gadget, or climb to the Everest base camp!
Since its inception in 1947, Rajshri Productions has been an integral part of the Indian Film Industry. From launching young talent to working with superstars, Rajshri Productions is one of the pioneers for new formats for film projection, production and distribution. In 2019, keeping in sync with the digital age, Rajshri started its digital fiction wing that will be producing quality content for the OTT market, venturing via Web Films and Web Series.
The current venture is Uunchai, Rajshri Productions’ 60th Film production that has been extensively shot in Nepal, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai. Along with being a super successful filmmaker, Sooraj R. Barjatya is known for being one of the finest producers. His being a writer, director and producer himself, amplifies the importance of him helming a film.
Two times National Award winner Mahaveer Jain is presently jointly producing the films apart from Uunchai with Rajshri Productions. Natasha Malpani Oswal is the founder of Boundless Media, a creative house that makes shows and films for a new India. She previously ran Dice Media, and was an Investment Director at a $1 billion impact investing fund in London.
