B. L. Gautam is a known name in the Film Industry and Custom Department. He came to Mumbai from Haryana and worked as a Superintendent of Intelligence in the Custom Department. Later he joined Zee TV as Vice –President and then as Director. He produced two highly successful films ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ for Zee TV and ‘A Wednesday’ for U TV. From here he moved to B4U.
Now he is busy as Director of Operations at ‘Mumbai Mantra’, Worli, Mumbai. Since childhood he was interested in literature and he has read books in English, Hindi, Urdu and Bangla, continuing with his love for Literature. He has just finished writing a novel ‘Andy Leelu’ which will be released by the end of January 2012.
B. L. Gautam says that his naughty cousin is the inspiration behind novel. He was not afraid of anything and expired very young. Story of the novel starts off in a nondescript village of Sihor of Mahendragarh district in Haryana, where a boy comes to study from City. The story is set in 1962 when villages were suffering from Cholera and Famine and the country was fighting a war.
B. L. Gautam is sure that reader will like the Novel and says, “Novel is written in such a lucid way that reader will not stop comparing their lives to those of the characters of the Novel. In today’s digital world people are going away from reading habit and want them take interest in books and I am hopeful that by my ‘Andy Leelu’, I will succeed in my aim.”
