In the International Women’s Week, here is a special treat from veteran producer Anand Pandit. He has announced a women-led Gujarati social comedy ‘Fakt Mahilao Mate’ (Only for Women) which he will co-produce with Vishal Shah.
He says, “I have always believed that women-led stories cannot just talk about important issues but also entertain the masses and break the box-office. When this story came to me, I immediately saw its potential and decided that I would produce it. The fact that Vaishal Shah too came on board for the project, will make this creative journey even more exciting.”
The film will be directed by Jay Bodas, stars Yash Soni and Deeksha Joshi. Says Pandit excitedly, “We begin filming today in Ahmedabad and will release the film by mid 2022.

Anand Pandit is an Indian film producer, film distributor and real estate developer. He owns Anand Pandit Motion Pictures, a film studio that produces and distributes Bollywood films such as Total Dhamaal (2019), Missing (2018), Sarkar 3 (2018), and Great Grand Masti (2016). Pandit has also produced several other films including The Big Bull and Chehre. His upcoming film is Thank God. He is the founder of Lotus Developers, which develops high-end real estate in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
He debuted in cinema with Chello Divas (2015) which was the highest grossing Gujarati film at the time and was widely considered as one of the best Gujarati films. He later starred in films like Days of Tafree (2016), Shu Thayu? (2018). He then starred in Chaal Jeevi Laiye! (2019) alongside Siddharth Randeria, which became the highest grossing Gujarati film.
Deeksha Joshi made her acting debut in 2017 with the film Shubh Aarambh, directed by Amit Barot in 2017 followed by Karsandas Pay & Use (2017), Sharato Lagu (2018), Dhunki (2019). She will make her Bollywood debut with the Ranveer Singh starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar directed by Divyang Thakkar
