The word ‘Ardha Wata’, which is easily and commonly used in some or the other context in everyday life, directly from Delhi to the street, is now making a Marathi film with the same title. What is this word that comes in the context of cinema, about politics, education, social causes or sports? Is it about emotions? This has not been revealed yet. Prasad Oak and Mrunmayee Deshpande are teaming up for the first time in ‘Ardha wata’, written and directed by Raju Meshram under Harshad Patil’s’ Sea Waves’ production house. The film is being shot in and around Mumbai.
Writer and director Raju Meshram, who has written and directed content-intensive films like ‘Power’, ‘Zari’, ‘Love Betting’, ‘Khairlanji Ki Mathyavar’, says about the film ‘Ardha wata’, ‘It is a different kind of cinema, from this film we are trying to say something different, like the title of the film,’ Ardha Wata ‘, it is a word that registers at every stage of life, in someone’s happiness and in someone’s pain, in someone’s success and in someone’s failure. Viewers will be able to see exactly who and what is half of the film.
After the phenomenal success of ‘Dharamveer’, Marathi superstar Prasad Oak will be seen in a different role in this film. Talking about the film, Prasad said, “The moment writer-director Raju Meshram narrated the story of the film to me, I agreed to work in the film. I liked the subject of his film very much, the subject of the film we have deliberately kept secret, there is no doubt that this film will give a different experience. My role in this film might surprise you, but I want everyone to watch it.
Mrunmayee Deshpande says that despite being in the same field for so many years, Prasad and I have not worked together on screen, so I am very happy that we are working together. Initially, it was a little challenging for me, but after listening to the whole story of the film, my confidence increased, so far the audience has not seen me in such a way. I agreed to work in the film ‘Ardha Wata’ with the intention that films of such subject should definitely come in Marathi, and we should take half of it.
The audience always prefers emotional, sensitive films in Marathi, there is no doubt that “Ardha Wata” cinema will increase the curiosity of the audience.
