This New Year has brought immense joy for Omm Dubey as the announcement of his upcoming web series Bada Naam Karenge coincides with the beginning of 2025. Produced by the legendary Rajshri Productions, the series is a heartwarming tale of love and family, set to stream on Sony Liv in February—also Omm’s birthday month. The teaser for the series was released on January 1, adding to the celebratory mood.
Expressing his excitement, Omm Dubey shared, “The New Year 2025 indeed has brought double joy for me. With the start of the New Year, my upcoming web series was announced. The series will stream in February, which is my birthday month and also Valentine’s month.”
Bada Naam Karenge holds special significance as it marks the OTT debut of Rajshri Productions, a brand synonymous with Indian cinema and family-centric storytelling. Helmed by filmmaker Suraj Barjatya, the series is directed by Palash Vaswani and produced by Devaansh S. Barjatya. The show boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Ritik Ghanshani, Ayesha Kaduskar, Saadhika Syal, Deepika Amin, Alka Amin, Kanwaljit Singh, Rajesh Tailang, Jamil Khan, Gyanendra Tripathi, Anjana Sukhani and Omm Dubey.
Omm’s journey into the world of acting began in his hometown of Delhi, where he honed his skills through theatre, street plays, short films, and music videos. He learned acting from Amita Khantwal in Delhi who is well known acting Guru. Additionally, he received formal training in jazz, contemporary, and Bollywood dance under renowned choreographer Ashley Lobo. His love for acting blossomed on stage, eventually leading him to pursue it as a full-time profession.
Most recently, Omm was seen portraying a police officer in the short film MADDHIM, directed by Vimal Chandra Pandey. Speaking about Bada Naam Karenge, Omm shared how the opportunity came to him: “I got a call from Rajshri Productions for an audition. I auditioned for the character of Aseem, which was liked and appreciated by everyone. So, I was on board. We all know Rajshri Productions is known for family dramas blended with romance. This series is special as it marks their OTT debut while staying true to their roots.”
With his birthday on February 16 and the series launch aligning perfectly, 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark year for Omm Dubey. Fans eagerly await the release of Bada Naam Karenge, a project that promises to deliver the timeless charm of Rajshri Productions in a fresh, modern format.
