Patni Premier League: Comedy with a Contemporary Pulse
Ketki Dave is currently immersed in rehearsals for her new play, Patni Premier League, a title that instantly hints at its core theme—the husband-wife relationship. “As always, I speak from a woman’s perspective,” she shares. “Through humour, we’ve tried to empower women and spark thought, especially among Gen-Z audiences who have the power to reshape mindsets.” For Ketki, laughter and life are inseparable. “Delivering a strong message through comedy has always been my signature,” she adds.
Stage Memories That Shaped Her Journey
Her theatrical journey began with Hu Reema Bakshi, directed by her mother—a play that laid the foundation of her craft. On Being Selective with Screens
Television demands long-term commitment, which is why Ketki Dave chooses her projects carefully. “Theatre gives me a new experience every day,” she says. Despite receiving several film offers after Pappa Tamne Nahi Samjay, she chose to wait. “Meaningful work matters more than constant visibility.”

Ketki finds the current growth of Gujarati cinema deeply encouraging. “With government support, strong producers, and immense talent, Gujarati films are moving forward. The fact that conversations around Gujarati cinema have begun is, in itself, a major milestone.”
