The much-awaited Marathi film Kadhipatta is creating waves as acclaimed South Indian actress Riddhi Kumar makes her grand debut in Marathi cinema. Paired opposite the talented Bhushan Patil, the duo’s refreshing chemistry is already winning hearts and generating strong anticipation. Ever since its teaser release, Kadhipatta has been the talk of the town, and with the recent trailer launch, excitement has only intensified. The “aroma” of Kadhipatta is all set to waft through theatres across Maharashtra on November 7.
Presented by Yuvan Productions, Kadhipatta is produced by Swapnil Yuvraj Marathe and written and directed by Vishwaa. The film’s teaser, which opened with a traditional Maharashtrian ukhana, instantly struck a chord with audiences for its blend of authenticity and wit. The newly released trailer has only amplified the buzz, giving a glimpse into a modern yet rooted love story filled with flavor, emotion, and realism.
The trailer opens with a heated husband–wife spat — a hilariously real “tu-tu main-main” moment that unfolds in court. As the couple throws accusations at each other, the judge dryly reminds them, “But yours was a love marriage, wasn’t it?” From there begins a heartwarming and dramatic flashback tracing their journey from romance to resentment. Packed with ego clashes, misunderstandings, and relatable moments, the story explores how love can sour — and perhaps, heal again.
True to its title, Kadhipatta promises a perfect blend of spice and substance — a “bittersweet love story” that mirrors everyday relationships. The soulful track “Swapnatuni Ajuni Asha, Tujhya Paulanchya Khuna…” adds emotional depth to the narrative.
Director Vishwaa shared, “Kadhipatta reflects the spice of real married life — the laughter, the fights, and the love that binds it all. Though it’s about a couple on the verge of divorce, every household will find a part of their story in it. It’s humorous, emotional, and deeply human.”
Alongside Bhushan Patil and Riddhi Kumar, the film features Sanjay Mone, Shubhangi Gokhale, Akshay Tanksale, Gargi Phule, and Gauri Sukhatankar, with guest appearances by Anand Ingale, Ananda Karekar, and Chetna Bhatt. With music by Padmanabh Gaikwad and Ashish Khandal under the Himesh Reshammiya Melodies label, Kadhipatta is a wholesome entertainer celebrating love in all its spicy shades.
