HOLLYWOOD CLASSICS BACK IN THEATRES AT THE RAY-BAN CLASSIC MOVIE FESTIVAL

A classic film festival of Hollywood Movies is being presented by Ray Ban at various PVR Cinemas and in an Inox Theatre across several Cities throughout India. Scheduled from 26th November to 2nd December, 2010, the seven day long film festival tilted Ray Ban Classic Movie Festival is all set to bring back the nostalgia of the biggest of Hollywood Classics ever. These classic films, which people of this generation here in India would have mostly watched only on Television or DVDs, will be featured on the big screen, just like any other new release. And for people of yester years, who had seen and loved these films to the core will actually get a chance to relive these films at the theatres, infact with a better ambience this time around.

The films that will be the talk of the town during this festival are “Ben – Hur”, “Ten Commandments”, Al Pacino starrer “Godfather”, “Blues Brothers, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, “The Italian Job”, and “Casablanca”. The Cinemas and Cities that this grand festival will take place at include- PVR Select City at Delhi, PVR Ambience at Gurgaon, PVR Juhu at Mumbai, PVR Ampa Mall at Chennai, PVR Forum Mall at Bangalore, PVR Central Mall at Hyderabad, and Inox Cinema at Kolkata. All the films will be played in all the cities as mentioned. However, The festival will start off with one of the biggest film ever in Hollywood- ‘Godfather’ with a launch party of the festival at Mumbai’s – PVR Juhu on 26th of November 2010.

The Rayban Greatest Films at the theatres once again – a Hollywood movie festival will primarily be an invitee Film Festival for guests selected through contests & promotions along with other select invitees. The invites will be distributed through contest done at the already mentioned specific PVR Cinemas in Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad and Inox Cinema in Kolkata. Also, all the patrons visiting these cinemas will get a contest form on the purchase of tickets and winners will win themselves an invite to the film festival. Certain number of tickets will also be sold at the Cinema counters also.

The proceeds of the ticket sales will go to the OneSight Foundation. OneSight is a family of charitable programs dedicated to improving vision through outreach, research and education. Since 1988, OneSight has helped millions see their world more clearly and donated millions of dollars to support optical research and education. OneSight held it’s first Global Clinic in India just two years ago. Since that time, passionate Luxottica employees and local volunteers have developed a comprehensive plan of OneSight activity including Regional Clinics and fundraising. Recently in India a nonprofit public charitable trust by the name OneSight India Foundation has been formed.

Films which some of the people would have craved to watch for years, but couldn’t due to any numerous reasons and finally people who again would love to be mesmerized by super stars like Al Pacino on the big screen will get to cherish moments of a life time with the Rayban Greatest Films at the theatres once again.
