Casting director Harry Verma celebrated his birthday with family in Delhi. As he was in Delhi this year due to prior commitments, the celebration took place there in presence of family and friends. It was a surprise birthday party organised by his younger brother Yogesh Verma. On the occasion MLA Gajendra Daral, Vinod Dhayal, Vikarm Duhan, Anil Daral, G.D. Saini, Deepak Soni were specially present to wish Harry.
Harry said, “After many years I celebrated my birthday with family. I stay in Mumbai so every year birthday celebration was done in the city of dreams. But this year I has some work in Delhi. So I came here. I can’t express my joy in words as I celebrated birthday with family in Delhi. Every year I missed my mother on my birthday and this year I am lucky to celebrate with her. Also friends in Delhi were very happy as it was like reunion for all of us to come together and celebrate my birthday.”
Last many years Harry celebrated his birthday with celebrities and friends in Mumbai. As this year he was not in Mumbai, many actors called him to with, sent messages on WhatsApp. Among the actors wishing dear Harry were Nimai Bali, Kannan Arunachalam, Pratima Kannan, Adi Irani, Dawn Irani, Harry Josh, Dinesh Mehta, Kirti Adarkar, Sunny Charles, Ashok Shekhar, Nikhil Kamath, Mamta Verma, Roma Bali, Candy Brar, Smita Shetty, Nalini Khatri, Manik Soni, D.S. Pahwa ji, Amit Ghanshyam, language teacher Praveen Chandra and many more.
The celebration was done with cake cutting followed by Bollywood songs from old to new films which gave nostalgic feel to everyone. Harry’s friends in Delhi were overjoyed as their friend was with them on birthday after many years.
When asked what next, Harry said, “There is one big project in pipeline. I can’t tell anything about it now but for sure I will reveal at right time. What I can say it is a Hindi movie with a different story.”
