Taj Mahal city Agra is gearing up to host first ever Global Taj International Film Festival which will be held on 15th to 17th November 2019. The festival will showcase films from 15 countries.
Talking about GTIFF festival director Mr. Suraj Tiwari told, “This is the first edition of Global Taj International Film Festival. We are doing this festival and this year it is International. This year films from 15 countries have registered till now. Films from India and 6 other countries will be there in the final screening. The subjects of the films will be related to social concerns, social messages, short films, animations documentaries and music videos as well. After selection from the jury project, screening of the films will be done for 3 days continuous. The jury will see final films and give their decision and according to that filmmakers will be awarded.”
“The special thing about this festival is new unique award. Everybody knows pioneer of film industry Dadasaheb Phalke but less known about his wife Smt. Saraswati Phalke who was the first female film technician of India. For her contribution towards Indian Cinema we are starting an award on her name which will be given to female technician every year. This is first time in history of Indian Film Industry an award to honor female technicians in the name of Mrs. Saraswati Dadasaheb Phlake. Apart from this we will also give Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award. There will be a talk session with Mr. Chandrashekhar Phalke who is grandson of Dadasaheb. Also present will be Mrs. Mrudula Chandrashekhar and Mr. Gajanan from Phalke family,”adds Mr. Tiwari.
In this 3 day festival producers, filmmakers, production houses, writers, actors from different countries will visit different beautiful and new locations of Agra. Henceforth in coming future maximum shootings will take place in Agra and Uttar Pradesh. This will enhance cities as well as States tourism and will establish a new picture of the city and give new modes of employment to people.
Global Taj International Film Festival is being organised under Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University’s I.T.H.M. combined banner. There will be Master Talk Show with lyricist and writer Mr. Sudhakar Sharma.
Festival patron Mr. Ranjeet Sama informed about the guests, “Guest of honor of the festival will be Dhadak Association’s secretary Mr. Abhijeet Rane, President of F.W.I.C.E. Mr. B.N. Tiwari, secretary of W.I.F.P.A Mr. Deep Dalwi, Anita Naik, Rama Mehra, and Treasurer W.I.F.P.A. Arvind Arora. Also other dignitaries like Dr. Luvkush Mishra, Dr. Arvind Dixit (VC Dr. B.R.A University), Shri Choudhary Udaybhaan Singh (state minister U.P.), MP Mr. Rajkumar Chahar, MLA Mr. Yogendra Upadhyay, Mr. Prem Pratap Singh, Mr. Pushttam Khandelwal, Shri Ishwar Dayal (area chief Dharm Jagaan samanvay), Mr.Gutiyari lal Dubesh (ex MLA), ex-Mayor Anjula Singh, veteran singer Pramila Gupta, Som Thakur, Ramendra Mohan Tripathi, Amardev Sahni, Manval Singh, Satish Arora, Narayan Das, Birbal Khan Anoj Ahwal, Mukesh Natural, Sanjay Goel, Girdharilal, Umesh Bajpai and many more will grace the GTIFF.”
The curtain raiser ceremony of festival will be done by renowned Bollywood writer Mr. Manoj Santoshi whose serials Bhabhiji Ghar Pe Hain, Jeejaji, Happu Ki Paltan has grabbed immense success. Inauguration of festival will be done by famous Bollywood senior actor Mr. Raza Murad.
Marathi film Lucky And Sweety by Anita Naik, Kerala film Abode by Jose Jayaraj , One Night Stand by Indranil Banerjee from Kolkata, Kumar Raj’s Tara film, Yuvraj Parashar’s music video Mehroo, Chithiya by Swati Chug from Delhi, Biscuit by Abhay Sharda from Delhi, Last Dream by Tashken Shekh, Missing by Keval Jani from Ahmedabad are few films of India participating the GTIFF.
In foreign film categories there is film of Rajibul from Bangladesh, documentary of Navneet from UK, film of Murjani from Canada, film of Yuvi from Switzerland, film of L.D.N from France among others.
According to festival director Mr. Suraj Tiwari, this festival will be notifying its presence in India as well as abroad which is going to be beneficial for Agra, UP and Indian film fraternity as well as Indian film industry.
