Director Shamas Nawab Siddiqui, who is awaiting the release of his feature directorial debut Bole Chudiyan has now been indulging himself into an extensive boxing training between his packed schedules. Bole Chudiyan stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles. The film is shot in a start to end schedule and is slated to release soon.
Director Shamas Nawab Siddiqui shares, “I am really thrilled to resume boxing training again. I had won several competitions during my college days in Dehradun but couldn’t continue it due to my passion for filmmaking. Currently, I am improving my strength and technique.”
Besides Bole Chudiyan, Shamas was in the news recently for his short film Zero Kilometers which is doing the rounds across the International film festivals. He has other short and long-format projects also to release in 2022. It stars Jaihind Kumar and Tanya Desai in the lead roles.
Earlier, Shamas has also directed award winning short film Miyan Kal Aana (Mister Come Tomorrow), which was based on the issue of ‘triple talaak’. The film did really well in the festival circuit.
Director Shamas Siddiqui, who has been in the news for his debut directorial Bole Chudiyan for the past few months, had also announced his next project Chalta Purza with producer duo Rajesh Bhatia and Kiren Zaveri Bhatiaa of Woodpecker Movies. Shamas Nawab Siddiqui shares, “It’s an absolute delight to work with the production house Woodpecker Movies yet again after Bole Chudiyan. I am super excited to work on this youthful romantic commercial family comedy Chalta Purza. We will announce the cast soon and it’s going to be A-list cast from the current lot.” However, the cast of the film hasn’t been finalised yet but it is touted to be the industry’s popular youth icons of the current lot. It would be interesting to see who will bag this youthful romantic comedy.
