Dhruvee Haldankar believes in growing with the changing times while staying true to her own creative instincts. Over the years, she has built a versatile career that spans journalism, television anchoring, and acting, and she is now stepping into a new chapter of her journey as an author. Dhruvee Haldankar was last seen in the television show Pyar Ke Saath Vachan Dharam Patni, produced by Ekta Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Telefilms and aired on Colors TV. The show marked an important milestone in her acting career. However, Dhruvee says the constantly evolving nature of the entertainment industry made her pause and reassess the direction she wanted to take next.
“After giving it a lot of thought, I realised that television as a medium has transformed significantly. Many actors are now exploring vertical series, and I felt curious to experience that format as well,” she shared. Recently, Dhruvee Haldankar filmed a few vertical episodes, which she describes as an exciting and creatively fulfilling experience. Interestingly, acting was not the starting point of Dhruvee’s professional journey. She initially worked in journalism and television presenting, gaining experience with global network CNN International and shopping network HomeShop18 before eventually transitioning into acting. Despite that shift, Dhruvee Haldankar says her dream of becoming an actress had been with her since childhood. “I have wanted to act since I was three years old,” she revealed.
Growing up in a creative household also played a major role in shaping her artistic sensibilities. Her father, cinematographer Deepak Haldankar, introduced her early to the world of cameras, lights, and storytelling. Without formal acting training, Dhruvee relied on instinct, observation, and her natural creative energy to develop her performance skills. Looking ahead, Dhruvee Haldankar hopes to explore more layered and unconventional roles. “I would love to headline a strong series on platforms like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video — perhaps as a powerful protagonist or even a complex, unpredictable character,” she said. Beyond acting, Dhruvee Haldankar has also completed her first book, a biography dedicated to her father, marking her entry into the literary world. With passion and reinvention guiding her journey, she is clearly ready to embrace the next chapter of her creative life.
