Mythology shows connect with viewers and especially during the pandemic. Just like Ramayan and Mahabharat made its impact as rerun on Doordarshan, producer Zuby Kochhar and director Dheeraj Kumar’s popular mythological show, which was launched on Sony in 2002, is now being rerun on Doordarshan from June 21 Monday to Friday 9 pm.
Dheeraj Kumar said, “Lord Ganesh is deep-rooted in the culture and religion of India and our show Shree Ganesh became immensely popular when it had its original run on Sony in 2002. The show gained a rating of 3.4 as its peak rating and maintained an average of 2.5 ratings in its original telecast on Sony on Sunday morning slot. People were compelled to not miss a single episode because of thorough research and great content and making.
Now, after many years, Doordarshan has chosen to air it again. The name Shree Ganesha lends good will to the project as lord Ganesh is the first god to be worshipped before the commencement of any new work. We are glad that viewers will get to see the show again on Doordarshan national network.
Jagesh Mukati played the lead role of Ganesh, Vishal Lalwani as child Ganesh, Sunil Sharma as Shiva and Priyanka as Parvati in the show. The show is created by Creative Eye Ltd and it is a Namah Shivay venture and it will also be re telecast every day from Tuesday to Saturday at 9 am on Doordarshan.
