Deepa Parab is now all set to return to the Hindi silver screen with the upcoming film ‘Fakireeyat’, in which she plays the lead role. The film has been directed by Santosh Manjrekar and is slated for release soon.

Produced under the banner of Bhadrabahu Divine Creations LLP, ‘Fakireeyat’ marks Santosh Manjrekar’s debut as an independent director in Hindi cinema, after a successful career in Marathi films. Known for effortlessly portraying diverse characters, Deepa Parab has previously acted in Hindi films, but after a long break, she is making a comeback to Hindi cinema. In the meantime, she has taken on a variety of roles in Marathi films. ‘Fakireeyat’ promises to showcase a new facet of her acting talent.
The film narrates the mystical and spiritual journey surrounding a legendary figure — a great soul, a divine being, Mahavatar Babaji, and the true essence of Kriya Yoga. The story unfolds through the perspective of one of Babaji’s disciples, a woman who lives entirely according to her Guru’s will. Her life becomes dedicated to her Guru’s mission and through her, the audience will witness a series of divine visions, instructions from higher realms, fierce opposition, inner struggles and many incredible, mysterious, and seemingly unbelievable events. This is the essence of ‘Fakireeyat’.

The film, based on the books ‘Chirut Jalti Hai’ and ‘Adhyatm Ek Vidroh, Ek Kranti’ written by Anuja Janvalekar, has been screenplay by Anil Pawar. The dialogues have been written by Anil Pawar and Anuja Janvalekar. Ajith Reddy has handled the cinematography, and Nilesh Gavand has done the editing. The songs, written by Samruddhi Pawar, are composed by music director Pravin Kunwar and sung by Manish Rajgire, Manoj Mishra, Jasraj Joshi, and Neha Rajpal.
The film features a talented ensemble cast including Deepa Parab, Vineet Sharma, Santosh Juvekar, Uday Tikekar, Akshay Vartak, Nayan Jadhav, Sandesh Jadhav and Anisha Sabnis.
