Introduced in 2009 by the eminent Jaya Bachchan, the competition serves as a tribute to the spirit of Mumbai. Calling out to young filmmakers across India in the age group of 18–25 years, Dimensions Mumbai provides an incredible opportunity to showcase their talent by capturing Mumbai-based themes on film. This year, the competition is honored to have Bhumi Pednekar as its Brand Ambassador. Bhumi, an exceptional actress known for her diverse film choices, hails from the heart of Mumbai herself. In her role, she will actively engage and support the creative aspirations of the young filmmakers participating in Dimensions Mumbai.
