Actor Sheeba has been quite active on social media. These days her videos with husband Akash Deep, also an actor by profession, have become the talking point. Netizens are going gaga over the quirky coupled funny videos. Off late their videos have gone viral and are garnering over 4 million views….
Akashdeep opens up about it.
Talking about their couple videos trending on social media, an excited Akash says, “It feels great to see some of our videos crossing 4 million organic views. We just did them for fun, but now that we are getting so much love and appreciation, we have made it a habit. At least one new video every week,” he says.
The couple started making these videos sometime last year. “When we had a lot of time to spare during the peak of covid, we just did a few and they began to hit 50k and 1 lakh views. That sort of encouraged us to do more. This whole thing was actually Sheeba’s idea. She is always making reels and all sorts of posts. Her yoga posts became very popular and she is now a social media influencer, doing many collaborations also.
And that’s when she got me into doing these funny memes and videos. Ab extreme yoga to mere bas ki baar nahi, so these jokes are easy to do,” he laughs.
Netizens are finding the spontaneity and flavour in the videos amazing. So who decides on the topic/script? And Akash Deep is quick to take Sheeba’s name again.
“Mainly Sheeba, but sometimes we both work on it. We look for clean jokes that would make us laugh, and then we shoot them. The shoot that we do is pretty basic, just for fun. I love humour. So I am always ready to shoot them with her,” he adds.
If they are offered a comedy on TV, the actor couple would love to do it, “Covid has seen my acting career take off pretty well. From ads, I’m now doing four big feature films and five OTT shows,” reveals Akash Deep.
Tabbar, his latest project, just released on Sony Liv and is doing well. “I’ve also done Broken season 1, Who’s ur Daddy – 2, Breathe -2, where I’m also the co-producer on all the seasons. Now I am doing Breathe 3 and Monica on Amazon, which should be released shortly. I have also done films like Toofan, Sardar Ka Grandson, Zero, Milan Talkies to name a few. My upcoming films are Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, 3 Monkeys, Sharmaji Namkeen, and Ardh. If a good show is offered, Sheeba and I would love to do it together. I also feel blessed to have so much on my plate,” he sounds happy.
