Koco’s Insights on the Song
Koco, a member of Agnee, shares, “Initially, the song had a romantic ballad feel with the working title ‘Saiyyaan.’ However, when Amitabh came on board, he took the song in an entirely different direction with ‘Mallaah,’ infusing it with philosophical depth. Hrishi and Chirayu’s insistence on playing their instruments, despite programmed drums and bass, brought the distinctive Agnee personality to the track. An intriguing aspect of the song is its incorporation of four or five tempo changes to create a ‘live feel.’ While it may be seamless on first listen, repeated listening reveals the gradual shift from a slower tempo to a more dynamic ending. We are thrilled to perform this at our upcoming Agnee gigs!”
