With the release of film Do Deewane Seher Mein today 20 February, Sidhhant Chaturvedi has once again voiced his long-standing desire to headline the biopic of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh.
In a recent interaction, when asked which cricketer Yuvraj Singh life he would most like to portray on screen, Siddhant did not hesitate before naming Yuvraj. The actor revealed that this wish has remained unchanged since 2019. “Biopic, of course — all the time. I’ve been saying this from day one, and I’ll continue to manifest it — Yuvraj Singh. His journey has been incredible, a complete rollercoaster. I have admired him for his game, his lifestyle and the way he faced personal setbacks and tragedies. He’s an icon, and his story deserves to be told,” he said.
Yuvraj Singh career — marked by historic match-winning performances and his courageous battle with cancer — has often been described as cinematic. Siddhant believes the cricketer’s highs and lows would translate powerfully onto the big screen.
Known for choosing layered roles, Siddhant has consistently brought intensity and emotional depth to his performances, making the idea of him stepping into Yuvraj’s shoes an intriguing prospect for fans. The actor’s growing association with real-life narratives further strengthens the speculation. He will soon be seen portraying legendary filmmaker V. Shantaram in an upcoming biographical project.
Interestingly, Siddhant’s tryst with cricket-themed storytelling began early in his career with the web series Inside Edge, which explored the darker side of the sport. As Do Deewane Seher Mein readies for release, the actor appears poised for another significant phase — one that blends ambition, versatility and a dream role he continues to manifest.
Industry insiders suggest that with the growing appetite for sports biopics in Bollywood, the timing may be right for a film on Yuvraj’s life. If mounted on the right scale, the project could combine nostalgia, inspiration and drama — elements that audiences have repeatedly embraced at the box office.
