Actress Saiee M Manjrekar, who has been steadily building a distinctive presence across Hindi and Telugu cinema, is currently soaking in the experience of being part of the much-anticipated pan-India period drama The India House. Backed by actor-producer Ram Charan in his debut production venture, the film is being shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu, marking Saiee’s second such bilingual project after Major. Having already navigated both industries, Saiee describes The India House as a natural yet deeply enriching step forward in her artistic journey. Mounted on an ambitious scale, the film unfolds a powerful period narrative, with Saiee stepping into the role of Sati—an important character who adds emotional depth and quiet strength to the story.
Reflecting on the experience, Saiee shares, “The India House has been one of the most immersive and fulfilling projects of my career so far. Shooting a film simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu is both exciting and demanding. You’re constantly switching languages, emotional rhythms, and even cultural nuances—sometimes within the same day. It requires immense focus, but it also sharpens you as an actor.” She adds that while her earlier experience on Major helped her understand the bilingual process, this film brought its own set of learnings. “Every project teaches you something new. The India House is rooted in a specific historical period, and the emotions are intense and layered. Playing Sati meant understanding not just her role in the story, but the era she belongs to—her strength, vulnerability, and the silent resilience that defines her.”
Speaking about the collaborative energy of a true pan-India setup, Saiee says, “Cinema really becomes a shared language on films like these. People from different industries and backgrounds come together with one common vision. Working alongside Nikhil Siddhartha, director Vamsi, and the entire team has been incredibly inspiring. The discipline, passion, and respect for the craft push you to give your very best.”
Expressing gratitude, she concludes, “I feel truly thankful to be trusted with a character like Sati in a film as ambitious as The India House. Opportunities like these don’t come often. Being able to work seamlessly across industries makes me feel I’m growing not just as an actor, but as a storyteller. I hope audiences connect with Sati’s journey as deeply as I did while portraying her.”
With The India House shaping up to be a significant pan-India release, Saiee M Manjrekar’s performance is eagerly awaited as she continues to strengthen her presence with meaningful and challenging roles.
