Siya Ke Ram actor Danish Akhtar, also known for his work in shows like Jai Maa Vaishnodevi, Santoshi Maa, Kakbhushundi Ramayan, and Shanidev, believes that while life is uncertain, the real strength lies in staying rooted in the present. Rather than dwelling on the past or stressing about what lies ahead, Danish focuses on consistent effort and mindful action, regardless of circumstances.
Danish Akhtar feels that the idea of “living in the moment” is often misunderstood. “Life is extremely unpredictable. We talk a lot about mindfulness, yet many people keep postponing their goals and peace of mind,” he shares. While he understands that responsibilities and unavoidable situations can cause delays, he firmly believes that postponing things out of laziness only creates long-term damage.
For Danish Akhtar, progress—no matter how small—is what truly matters. “You must keep moving towards your goals. Even if you take one step instead of four, it still counts. Stay focused on where you want to reach and don’t get distracted by unnecessary opinions,” he says. He also acknowledges that pauses are sometimes essential. “Slowing down or taking a break is fine. Rest is important—but giving up is not.”
Health, according to Danish Akhtar, is non-negotiable. He feels people often neglect their well-being despite knowing its value. “Everyone needs ‘me-time,’ especially for health, which we conveniently ignore. Health should never be postponed. Whether it’s yoga or the gym, even 30 minutes to an hour, three to five times a week, can make a big difference.” He points out that time management is largely about priorities. “People always find time for what truly matters to them. Saying ‘I didn’t have time’ is often just an excuse. Time is the same for everyone; how we use it defines our life. Making time for health and staying connected with family and parents is essential.”
Balancing life, however, isn’t easy—especially with demanding television schedules. Danish Akhtar admits that perfect time management is difficult. “Sometimes I cut down my sleep from eight hours to five or six to manage work, health, and personal responsibilities. Long shoots and travel, especially to places like Naigaon, add to the challenge.” Despite the pressure, gratitude remains central to his outlook. Seeing people struggle for basic necessities has made him deeply thankful. “I am extremely grateful to God for everything I have,” he says. Yet, gratitude doesn’t slow his ambition. “I continue to work hard and aim higher, while staying content with what I have today.”
Acknowledging the competitive nature of the entertainment industry, Danish Akhtar believes rivalry is necessary for growth. His final mantra is simple yet powerful: “Don’t rush life. Career growth is in God’s hands. Our job is to stay consistent, patient, and grateful. Be thankful for what you have and patient for what you want—happiness and success will follow.”
