The 7th Taj Global International Film Festival, organized by Glamour Live Films, is set to take place from November 13 to 15 this year, promising three days of cinematic brilliance, global creativity, and cultural exchange. The much-anticipated festival will feature films from around 20 countries, with 12 nations’ films officially selected for screening. Over the years, this festival has emerged as a prestigious platform for independent filmmakers and storytellers from across the world — and this year’s edition aims to be even more dynamic and inclusive.
A grand poster unveiling and press conference for the 7th edition was held today, attended by numerous dignitaries, industry professionals, and media personalities. The festival will showcase an exciting mix of feature films, short films, documentaries, music videos, and animated films. One of the key highlights this year is a film based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, reflecting the future of storytelling through innovation and digital evolution.
Festival Director Mr. Suraj Tiwari shared that this year’s selection gives priority to films carrying strong social messages and impactful themes. As part of an MoU with Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University’s ITHM Department, a six-day filmmaking workshop was organized for students, culminating in a short film that will premiere at the festival. Supported by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ashu Rani, this initiative aims to provide hands-on experience and encourage employment-oriented learning in the creative sector.
Prashant A. Sagar from Mac Animation emphasized the transformative potential of AI and emerging technologies, predicting that they will significantly broaden opportunities in the film industry. The festival will feature entries from India, France, Switzerland, Germany, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the United States, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and many more countries. Entry to the festival is free, with complimentary refreshments provided.
Prof. U.N. Shukla, Director of ITHM, noted, “This 7th Taj Global International Film Festival will give students real-world insights into film making and management, opening doors to new career avenues.” Mr. Satish Arora, Director of Poonam Plaza Hotel, added, “This event will bring immense pride to Agra and to India’s film fraternity.”
