The talented actress steps into the role of Sudha, a character she affectionately refers to as the “tarka of the house.” Speaking about her role, Harleen shares, “Sudha is the entertainer of the family. Her dreams are big, and she constantly chases money because her family was once wealthy but lost it all. That struggle shapes her personality. At times, you may feel she troubles little Binddii too much, but her quirks and mannerisms make her fun to watch.”

I’ve always wanted to explore versatility. Playing only positive roles can be limiting—grey and even negative shades help an actor grow. Every character leaves you with something new, and Sudha is no exception.”
Harleen Kaur Rekhi is also thrilled with Sudha’s traditional look. “I love wearing sarees, sindoor, and mangalsutra. They are symbols of our Indian values and culture. While many shy away from them today, I feel proud—both as Harleen and as Sudha—to carry them forward,” she says with a bright smile. Despite long shooting hours, the actress insists she enjoys every moment. “When you love your work, nothing feels like a burden. Our production house is very organized—we get scripts in advance, which makes preparation easy. For me, stepping on set every day feels like a blessing.”
She also praises her co-stars, especially Abhishek Rawat, who plays her husband. “He’s not only a brilliant actor but also a wonderful person who makes everyone comfortable. Radhika and the kids are equally talented and switch into their characters effortlessly.” With Binddii now on air, Harleen Kaur Rekhi is winning hearts in her quirky grey avatar, adding a fresh, engaging dimension to the show’s drama and entertainment.
